Dastar(turban) is an important part of Sikh culture.The first guru of Sikhs the founder of Sikhism start wearing  Dastar(turban)  on his head and every guru give turban(siropa) as a honour for offering their guru ship to next guru this continue till our tenth guru  Our Tenth master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji which had given Dastaar as a gift to people who are associated with Sikhism. Dastaar is a symbol of spirituality, holiness, honor and self respect in Sikhism. Dastaar is a cotton cloth use to cover the long hair of the Sikh. Sikh who wear Dastaar are know as  khalsa .
